Patient Information

Your first visit:
What we do on your first visit depends on what your concerns are, what condition you feel your teeth are in, and how long it has been since your last dental visit.
If you are having pain or have a concern, naturally, our goal first if to relieve the pain and address your concern.
If you have had a lot of dental treatment and if it's been a long time since your last visit, we encourage you to allow us to do a thorough complete examination.  On this visit we may take the necessary x-rays, and examine the teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints and muscles, and do and oral cancer screening.  We then study the results and provide you with a written summary of the findings and any treatment options. From this we want you to understand your condition now and what you can expect in the coming years.  We then answer your questions. This approach helps you make decisions that are in your long term interest.  It also helps you understand future problems that come with age and time.

We file insurance claims and submit information they require and will assist as we can to help you get the maximum coverage.  Insurance companies are not your friend.  They limit coverage on treatments, set yearly limits, and determine their own fees and percentages they pay.  They often delay payments and deny coverage.  They are all different. We are not preferred providers for most plans because we feel they place controls on the technology we can use and quality we can provide.  We will do everything we can to help you use your insurance to the maximum.  We often make financial arrangements with patients to help them get the care they need.
